1.65 rr's

Would it be pointless to run 1.65 rr's with a cc503 with stock heads? Im only asking because im considering a set. If that set up would out flow the heads, i would rather go with 1.6 rr's

I haven't heard of 1.65 roller rockers -- what's the brand?

Ecentually yes. Stock heads wont flow enough to really need them. You would gain alittle power but not enough to justify buying them. Plus your valve to piston clearances problebly wont work.

1.65 have been around for a while. Nascar used them on the outer 4 cylinder the help equalize the air flow traveling threw the intake. If you look at sbc intake the outer 4 cylinders are longer than the rest. So there was more restriction In The outer 4 cylinder which caused less air flow. To equalize that they changed the rock ratio on thos cylinders. Comp cams jessel and a few others make them.

They were Scorpion 1.65 rollers i can get them to fit just have to remove some of the webbing inside the valve covers. Looks like i mite skip the 1.65rr route though i liked the idea, i think im going to go with the Harland Sharp 1.6 rollers
