  • HELP! What sensor did I just break??

When I was pulling off my passenger side exhaust manifold I broke a sensor. Its almost in line with the spark plugs and I think in between the back two. Its on an LT1. Thanks for the help!!

I thought knock sensor was on the intake. I could be wrong though. I just looked through every sensor on autozones website. Is it possibly the coolant temp sensor??

It just hit me you have a 1994, and I have a sevice manual for the 94 LT1's/V6's. I will try and dig it out to see what sensors are over there.

That spark plug is the 3rd one back. Sensor is right behind it.

Re: HELP! What sensor did I just break??

Every forum I've looked on says the coplant sensor for the gauge is below the passenger head. Can anyone verify? Also, Im almost positive its not the knock sensor. They have a very different wiring harness from what I see.

That's REALLY weird. Do you have the coolant sensor on the driver's side, Matt? Maybe they effed up that location and put a new coolant sensor on the passenger side? I posted on LtxTech but can you take a picture of the plug? How many wires are going to it? Can you take a wider picture of the sensor?

Well I've always wondered what the random one wire running across my engine was. I think I have cast heads. There's no coolant sensor on the drivers side but there's a wire running across to it. So was someone just a cheap ass and put cast heads on?? Would valve covers and intake just bolt on to them??
