Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

My clutch and brake fluids look like coffee, so I'd really like to flush them out. I hate bleeding brakes, and from what I have read, our slave cylinder is a royal PITA.
I'm looking at the Motive bleeders - 0108 or 0118. Anyone used these (or a different brand)? How'd it work? What did you use? Would you recommend it?
when i helped jeremy out with his i used the power bleeder from work as well as manually bleeding and yes it a royal PAIN in the.... i ended up leaving a small socket on it and completely forgot about the socket.

I have the 0118 and it works awesome. Very easy to do and no pedal pumping or worrying about running out of fluid. I would recommend to anyone.

And another thing.....when I gun the motor, I want the whole world to think it's coming to an end. -Homer Simpson
I have the Motive bleeder with the adapter for the brake fluid reservoir. It was simple enough to use. Use caution if you fill the bottle with fluid - I had the adapter pop off and spray brake fluid all over.
Looks like you are close to me - you can borrow it if you want.

Yeah, I can handle the brakes the old fashioned way (even though I hate those too), but the clutch just seems like a royal PITA. When I eventually replace the clutch, I'll put a tick remote bleeder in.
It should bleed quick with 2 people, the normal way.
I thought the clutch was a pain due to location and having to open/close it every pump. I just ASSumed with the powerbleeder it'd be easier as I could crack the bleeder open and just let it go until fresh fluid comes out.

I appreciate that, thanks! With all of the vehicles in the family (siblings, parents, in-laws) and me being the family mechanic, I figured it'd be a sound investment. The 0108 is the plastic cap, right? I'm looking at the slightly more expensive 0118 which uses an aluminum cap. Either way, I'll make sure I put some towels or something down and around it just in case it pops loose.
