Starter replacement issues!

Hey everybody! Im having problems removing my starter. It will not fit between the exhaust and oil pan! I tried sqweezing over the k-member but my a/c and I think power steering lines are in the way. Anybody know a good way to remove it?

It takes a bunch of work and twisting it around but eventually it should fit. I had a hard time with my LPP Long Tube headers but twisting it enough it finally slipped out.

Try loosening up the exhaust if it is in the way.

The trans lines should move a little bit/you should then be able to get the starter out between the oil pan and the lines

If it's an auto there's a couple clips that hold the trans lines in place, pop the lines out of the clips and it gets you a little more wiggle room, it'll slide out.

So I finally got the starter out! But I bought a starter from a lt1 caprice and it was slightly to large. I ended up pulling the starter out the front over the k member. I unplugged the power steering line from the rack, move a couple lines and removed a thin bar. Sorry don't know the name of the bar I just knew it was in the way lol. I'm now on the hunt for a used starter. Anybody have a good one to sell?

All that work and you want a used starter? There was one on here couple days ago, he had a whole list of parts for sale.
