  • NEED NEW WINDSHIELD...ASAP!

So, today I began the process of replacing something as simple as my windshield wiper motor, and as I'm being extra careful in prying up on the passenger wiper arm, I hear a crack. Sure enough, I moved my arm only to find a huge crack about 1/2 way across my windshield. I have to leave for Florida to begin a summer job in about a week and a half. This is what I call bad timing. I know that people do drive with bad cracks in their windshields for ridiculous amounts of time, but to push my luck with such a drastic change in weather (extra humidity, constant extreme heat) would be foolish of me.

Anyways, I really need to know of a highly recommended place in or near Kalamazoo in order to get this fixed ASAP. Also, about how much is this going to cost me?

I'd start calling around at the local glass replacement shops. Most of them will drive out to you and replace the windshield right there in your driveway.

          I think that's a pretty typical price.

$180 is a good deal thats about what I got quoted for them to come out and remove and re install a new one in my car. However I took mine out myself so a new one installed for me is about $100-120 so $180 for everything is good.
