my 455 is mated with a TH350 (3 speed) and it dies any time i get around 70 MPH if i throttle hard. its hard to explain what it does- it kinda starts dying but reviving over and over until i let off the pedal and let it slow down... but i can go way past 70 on the highway as long as i accelerate slowly
i recently replaced the fuel pump with a high volume (130 GPH). this doesnt fix the problem, but engine seams to pick up faster when i let off the throttle.
im replacing the filter just in case, but i dont think thats the problem...
engine does not over heat, ive got a gauge i constantly watch, as well as the oil pressure.
parts im using: holly 4 barrel carb on edelbrock torker II manifold (heres a pic of what it looks like. excepting the fuel pump, which is replaced, and i re-did the entire wiring throughout the engine bay and dash)...
