If you weren't clear on the opposite side of the state I'd be happy to help - someone in GR should be able to help though

Michael what are you stuck on? To remove heads you need to remove:
1.Disconnect battery. at least the - terminal.
2.Drain the anti freeze. 2 lower bolts on water pump will drain engine block low enough without getting fluid on Opti.
      3. Disconnect gas lines. (there is a disconnect tool for this.)
      4.disconnect wire harness on injectors.
      5. remove intake manifold
      6. remove altenator.
      7. remove valve covers
      8. remove heads.

to install reverse order, be sure to use thread sealer on water pump bottom bolts.
check shbox.com for torque specs. (note be sure and clean threads good on head, and manifold bolts)
Shbox has proceedure to adjust valve lash.

Good luck I hope this gets you started, sorry I can't come and help. I'm to far away.

since the head bolts are torque to yield won't you need to buy all new head bolts.. haven't seen anyone mention that yet

I should know tomorrow if I actually get next week off (fingers crossed) so I'm still up in the air.

I almost want to load it up on the trailer and bring it back here...I like knowing that if I need a tool, it will be there. I can't stand working in someones garage then having to trek 30 miles to go grab a tool from my shop.

ahhh thought it was a 3.8 for some reason. do those crack coolant elbows when removing the lower intake? mine did but again i have a 3.8 so i can't be of much help. I also did the whole aluminum intake gaskets thing but again probably not necessary. i'll check the car info next time hahah.

TTYB were phased in around 1996 or 1997 on the LT1 engines. All LS1 are ttyb
