  • z has a couple issues

first of the issues is that my heat is not working, car has a newer water pump, thermostat, full coolant with no air bubbles, the car wont get above 180 degrees and it seems when the hvac is on full blast its just sucking the air from the engine bay. i am at a loss on what it could be and why the car is running so cold and the lack of heat.

and i have had a steering issue before but i have come up with this, while sitting still the car turns the wheel full left to full right really smooth and effortless with no pump whine. but when moving the steering seems stiff and the best way to describe the issue ill hit is it feels like gears are slipping like teeth are jumping over each other when turning. i have not messed with the steering besides opening the system to take the p/s pump off. it is full of fluid and was bleed properly.

any help would be appreciated guys.

The "no heat" issue is most likely the heater core. Either needs to be flushed, or replaced.

if thats the case ill just delete the heating system i never use it, just had to drive my car home in a spot the past week and 20 degree car ride for 6 hours was fun lol. but the heater core doesnt explain the low engine temps does it?

I have plenty of heat and I have 160* therm car never get over 160. Sounds like a vacuum hose of heater switch check and see if heat a/c doors are opening properly. I you belt tensioner working correctly sounds like slipping belt on power steering unit.
