  • Measured distance from valley cover to cowl - 4th gen camaro

Have a feeling there is going to be some additional modifications to get this engine in the bay.....when and if it ever shows up.

I have a few ideas if its a little tall, but want a baseline measurement first. I've heard 8", I've been told 6"....any help is appreciated.

Brent, I went out to re-measure, and sure as shit it is between 6.5" and 6.75" from the lowest area of the cowl to the top of my valley cover. A level works wonders.

Thanks for confirming my fears Jim. Geez, another set back....go figure. What I dont know is how far this intake sits back there. The Maggie's sit 9.5" and require a little cowl and K-member tweak. Hoping its not going to be that tall when its said and done....but I have a feeling. Will confirm today.

Either way it looks like she's headed back to the body shop.
