  • fuel pump issue

I was driving yesterday and my car died on me. I pulled over and waited a minute started it back up and two more times just like this and I was home. I pulled the fuel pump and it looks like the ground wire is melted. You can see the post it turned black. It is a Walbro 255 that I had put in last summer. Is this a common problem? Does anyone know how I can fix it?

A poor connection would cause that. Resulting in high current draw.

Should I replace anything before I reconnect it and clean it?
