Electrical or Mechanical fuel pump?

Changing my '89 IROC from TPI to a carb motor. So my car has an electrical fuel pump stock.

Now with the carb motor if I keep the electrical fuel pump I will need a regulator.
Or I can buy a new fuel tank and mount a mechanical fuel pump.

Im looking for feedback on what is the better way to go. Is one a better working/more reliable pump?

Please let me know what you guys think.

Each one have benefits in draw backs.

If I was in your situation would buy a regulator and call it day, cheap and simple

i agree i would by a regulator and keep with electrical fuel pump.
