  • how much oil pressure?

how much oil pressure should the fresh rebuild have? just wanted to know where the needle on the new gauge should sit once everything is back together. this being after its at operating temp at idle and cruising. tried to search but couldnt come up with a specific answer. thanks again

cruising at low rpms and idle Id say 40psi and up to 60psi at idle. those are rough numbers but above 30 should be fine at idle with the car up to temp.

Depends if you have a high volume or standard pump and what the builder has the clearances set at and also the viscosity of the oil. I would say you should have 50 on a cold start and I wouldn't expect less than 30 warm. General rule of thumb is 10 psi per every 1000 rpm but I sure as hell want more than 10 psi at idle.
