    The only thing might be my guideplates push the whole rocker asembley up higher...i forgot about that.

    And this is how the rocker would botum out...the thread on the lock (figure 1) would botum out on the rocker (figure 2)

          Here is what you need from Summit Racing for $12 .
          It is an adjustable length push rod.
          Once you set the correct pattern on the end of the valve stem then take the measurement and that is the length you need to get.

              Lock the nuts on the push rod and then measure it with some long dial calipers.

                  This site will help you check your contact pattern on the valve stem.
                  Measuring the length of a push rod is a simple process. The most important thing to remember is that different manufacturers measure push rods differently. Not all push rods of a stated length will measure exactly the same.
