    valve seals normally coat the threads of the plugs.
    compression and leak down tests dont check oil rings

    here is a pic of my patriot heads. seals/guides so bad that oil was running out the exhaust port and down the block

      holy shit thats terrible. Did that cause crazy valvetrain wear because the geometry was so far off with the worn out guides?

      Was that on both the intake and exhaust ports? Oil on plugs?

        very little on the plugs. threads of the plugs were also soaked. they tried to say it was from improper geometry but i sent them a pic of the tips .
        they knew they have issues. patriot put in new valves, guides, seals for like $100. i had them put new springs in while they were at it and they only charged me another 100 for that(including springs)
