  • UOA results. Oil experts look inside!

Got my UOA for my 02 trans am. Please tell me what you all think... (Sampled at 5k miles, 29k miles on motor, previously was mobil 1 synthetic, full bolt on engine with headers, high flow cats, and dyno tuned) I'm planning on going procharger soon, does the engine look healthy enough to handle the boost for a while?

And another thing.....when I gun the motor, I want the whole world to think it's coming to an end.

Well I don't what it means, but I see it says "abnormal"... I wouldn't be boosting...

What's scaring me is the possible piston ring plating....but knowing how Ls1's are, this could be normal for a LS1?? I'm gonna call them and ask what's the average for this engine.

best way is to just do a compression check that will tell you all you need to know.

Idk how that slipped my mind! I should've had that done to begin with.

You might want to try a different lab to check you oil if you are concerned about engine wear. I would think that Amsoil is possibly trying to get you to switch over to there oil from the test results you got back?

According to that data sheet he's already running Amsoil 0w30.
