I use pure peppermint oil soaked into cotton balls. Works awesome and leaves the car smelling minty all summer long. I've read numberous places that mice hate the smell of peppermint.

Never had an issue. Dryer sheets work great though.

I got my steel tubs to set my jack stands in yesterday. They are just under 2 ft wide and about 10 inches tall. And they have a lip all around the inside to make it where the little bastards cant get out. They were big outdoor light cans from a friends work. Now I just need to grease em up and were on our way. Decon should kill the ones that are currently in there, and bounce sheets should keep the rest away. Just keep the barn full of decon packages all winter and you will be fine.

Problem with decon is I had it with my 94 where they would take the decon into the car, eat it and die.............................it was stinky........................and i didnt like it, lol. Although it was kinda cool having people get into your car and ask why it smells like death. You just say, shut up and you wont have to find out, lol.

Maybe I could put massengil in my car, for that fresh feeling.

I bought a box of moth balls, spread them around the car and under it. They stink like shit but I didn't have a single mouse turd in my car, so who knows.

As for your jackstands.... Get yourself some KY lol....

usually throw moth balls throughout the garage, put out a few of those boxes of Decon poison pellets and bomb it before winter, never had a problem in many years

I have never did anything with my car to keep the mice away. My biggest fear is having one of them climb up my cutout or turndowns

Everytime I refer to this thread I keep thinking of...

                            Anybody try used doghair?
I'll be trying the liquid trap method this year!

I have my tubs to set my jack stands into now. Got a line on some used antifreeze to put in them, almost ready. Eric L
