questions:
#1. my car had cooling problems and need the water pump redone when i first got it. i had a mechanic i trust put the ac delco water pump on and it wasnt leaking coolant anymore. around the same time i put a cheap ebay cold air intake CAi on the car. so after a while of driving i noticed the car would heat up at stop lights and when i was just driving around the city. ive done the raditor flush, put a 180 thermostat in, and switched out the temperature sending unit, the wires also dont look mangled from the temp sending unit. i was wondering if you have any other solutions or something i could try out. on highway it stays at 180 around city it jumps up to 200. its been above 210 once or twice. normally jumps up to about 200 at a stoplight. please give me any advice that may have worked for you.
#2. my voltage varies every now and then. mostly around 14 volts all the time but i put a big sound system in it. it drops alot when i bump that is to be expected. once or twice a week with nothing on it will be barely at 12 volts. i plan on doing the big three to help the voltage. the altenator may be bad but my battery tester says the battery is fine. i still gotta check the altenator. let me know if there is any possible solutions for this also.
#3. does my electrical system have anything to do with my temperature readings going haywire.
#4. also when i put my redefrost on the electrical voltage drops 2 volts down to about 12 volts sometimes when it is being crazy.
those are my main concerns right now. thanks for looking.
on a side note i plan on getting a newer trans am or camaro since the cost of them. should i look into an lt1 or ls1. i think i want an ls1 camaro z28. i plan on doing alot of engine work but i am gonna try something that is mostly modded and finished but not ran hard. just let me know cost wise and dependablitiy of which engine is better to buy because i can get a car with a lt1 cheaper than a ls1 engine.
