Mine use to do that when it got nice and hot I.E hot lapping it at the track. If I were just blasting down the highway it would shift just fine. I would start with retracing your steps like everyone else mentioned. If that doesn't seem to have an effect I would change the fluid and filter and see what happens. Its cheap and easy.

well I took out my current MAF and cleaned the crap out of it with some MAF spray, then reinstalled, i just figured it was worth a shot, definately didn't help any. Car did feel snappier though before the 2-3 shift.. but that could be because it was cold as heck tonight. Tomorrow I got a brand new MAF coming with a screen in it, we'll see if that works.. if not, i might need to borrow someone's throttle body..

TB or MAF? PM me details and how much you want for it, I'm planning to return this new MAF and buy a good used one if it fixes it. If not I'll be in the TB market.

I had both, but got rid of the MAF a month or so ago, so all I have left is the TB, if you want to come pick it up or pay shipping you can have it.

Sounds good, I'll be in touch in the next few days. I'm a very busy person so I probably won't have time to come get it, I'll probably have to have it shipped.

GL with the MAF, Derek. I've never heard good things with descreening the MAF - the screen is there for a reason.

You said you got TPS codes...do the TB's have a external TPS like my TPI car? If so, try check it's position with a voltmeter...otherwise, swap the throttle body and see what happens?

I'm going to have to run some logs and more testing with the scanner if the MAF doesn't fix the issue. We have plenty of stuff to test it, I'm just trying to narrow down the potential problem areas. Doesn't seem like its an issue with the position of the TPS, I taped up the bump stop back to factory width, and put a new TPS in there and it didn't help. We'll see though. I'm going to work on it more tonight after work.

Welp, can cross the descreened MAF off the list, just put a brand new screened MAF on and it made no difference.. next stop.. stock throttle body.. after that.. I guess we can try and play with the shift points to get it to work. Then its stall and tranny rebuild time I guess. We'll see

Well, I'm not sure if its the same as with the TPI cars, but when you put the TPS on, you have to adjust it, otherwise it will read incorrectly.
