  • The F-body experience

Im very new to the F-body world and I have a lot of questions, so when I come home from deployment I'll know a little bit about my car before I drive it, I have a 2002 Firebird W68 W/87000K I bought it for 7K Its looks great and was taken care of from what Ive been told, What should I know about these cars in general? what is your experience with these cars, what should I lookout for? what do these engines like or dislike? I dont plan on ragging on this Bird, I like to cruise these days and enjoy the ride. any information a newby should know I would like to hear from the experts and veterans drivers, Thank you everyone! cant wait to see some of you on the road or at a show! I plan on attending a Bakers of Milford Sunday cruise when Im home (My Uncle is the musician) maybe I'll see some of you there?

Very cool! I think Angie has the same car, or very similar! I am sure her and B and fill you in on any problems they have had with hers. You should defiantly plan on going to Bakers on June 5th if your around that is our M&G day! But some of us did make it to a dew Sundays there as well throughout the year.

Welcome. Nothing really major to watch for, pretty much just window motors and maybe a fuel pump (eventually). Every 4th gen. motor seems to be pretty much grenade-proof as long as you take good care of them.

Oh yeah, and the 10-bolt rear end but I wouldn't worry about it with a V6.

      Used to own a Firebird.
