  • P0300 - Random Cylinder Misfire

This is the code that I've been getting thrown at me repeatedly all day. I know that this could be many things, but I'll describe the situation and hopefully someone might be able to give me a clue as to what it might be.

-Misfire is totally random: will happen at idle or under load, will go away for up to 30 minutes and then return
-Not water in the gas: put two bottles of dry-gas in with no effect
-Car seems to lunge and stutter, almost like it would with a failing clutch minus the wild rpm variance
-I checked plugs and wires using the water mist technique, doesn't seem to be the culprit
-Have had coil packs fail before and that was not nearly as random

    Any thoughts? Thanks.

Have you checked your O2 sensors? I know I got a similar code when one of the wires on my O2 sensor was cut.
