  • Anybody heard of this shop?

    http://www.motorcitysteel.net/

I have done a little bit of searching, but haven't seen anything one way or another. It's pretty close to my house, so that is a huge plus.

I need a few things done to the GTA (some bodywork, welding, possible tune tweaking, maybe syncro replacement). Looks like they should be able to do all of it.

Hoping to find someone who's had experience with them.

Can't say I've heard of them. Website looks nice, but that could go either way.

Yes I did have lots of work done from them. Some good some not so good. They will cost you $$$$
I will now only use them as a last resort. I need to find some one who works in ther own garage on the side.

Allegedly they used to be pretty good...but I've not heard anything positive about them for a few years now...

Well, thats the kind of info I was looking for. Too bad, it would have been nice to have a good, reasonably priced shop nearby.

Haven't heard of them, they look like they mainly do old school muscle. Kind of a cool name!

That shop is junk, I will never go back there. Went two weeks waiting for a dyno tune, two weeks later I get the car in there, had to wait another week before they had time to get it on the dyno. A week later the car's still sitting there and it didn't get on the dyno. They also pull all the cars in at night, some get stored under others that are on top of the lift. They stored mine right under a car with an oil leak.

Doh!! Well, that's no good. And about storing the cars, sounds like a good idea executed poorly.
