  • Has anyone used Patriot Performance?

Looking into buying some heads by them. Anyone use them? these are my choices, should I go for aluminum or stick with cast? I can get them for around the same price to that doesn't matter.

Also straight or angle plug? i was think angle.

Also I these will begoing on a 383 with air gap intake and 750 demon carb.

I have heard they are crap as well, when Matt still posted on here he actually lost peak hp when he installed his patriot heads.

They are cheap. You get what you pay for when it comes to heads.

I know. Im just looking for a good bang for my buck. Stock vortecs are $600. Patriot vortecs with 2.02, 1.60 valves, bigger springs etc are $630. So for $630 bucks..... ya know? and Now I can get the aluminum ones for about $650. I mean yeah I know there cheap, But 1,400 and 650 is a big differnece if its only 10 hp, then forget it, ill take the 650 ones

I guess there used to be some quality control issues with them, so there is some negative (perhaps rightfully so) publicity about them.

However, I got some aluminum L98 heads from them, and they are flawless.

I don't know about their heads, but their valve springs are awesome!

I plan to give them a try when I do my engine swap. I don't know for what engine yet. I will probably take them to a machine shop before I install them. Can't a set of aluminum heads for $600 fully assembled.
