Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

i am getting my 4inch cowl hood tomorrow. and i was wondering how hard is it to swap hoods? my dad wont be home to help ill prob call a buddy over but he had the idea of just diconnecting the hood hinges and shockes just from the stock hood then holding the new hood over the car bolt it up so there wouldnt be a need for alligning?
Is the hood already been mounted on another car. If not if it is fiberglass you may have to modifying the mounting holes and getting everything lined up correctly.
Actually the hood adjustment comes from the hood to hinge interface so you would still need to adjust the hood with that method. I don't think there is any way around it. Plus every hood is different so you would want to line it up anyways.
Heres a tip that worked for me
Before you remove the old hood take a marker and draw around the hood bolts on the hinge. Since you will be reusing the hood bolts line up the new hood using the marks left on the hinge. It may be perfect and it may not but it will give you a good starting point.
We did this when we installed my Ram Air hood back in `99 and it was perfect (no adjustments needed)
