Clicking noise coming from front left. What is it?

I've been hearing a clicking sound coming from my front left wheel area that has me a bit puzzled. The noise is most noticeable when driving between 20-40 mph. It doesn't always occur, but is more frequent in the first few miles of driving. If I hit the brakes, the noise will stop. Sometimes it will return and sometimes it won't after braking. The noise seems unaffected by turning...I always notice it when driving straight. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? Thanks.

How's the pad thickness look on your brakes? Might be the squealers/pad wear indicators, my friend's squealers once got bent out to the side and made a sort of "clicking" noise...hard to guess without actually hearing it though

Wheel bearing? Get the tire up in the air and see if it has any play in it. Rock it top to bottom.

I also forgot to mention that the noise is more prominent in warm, humid weather. I just went for a spin today, cloudy, less than 70 degrees...no hint of the noise.

I'm about to replace them actually. I was hoping that the noise would go away after that. Guess we'll see.

Wheel bearing? Get the tire up in the air and see if it has any play in it. Rock it top to bottom.

yea my guess would be something with the pads as well. I had bosch lifetime warranty pads on my lt1 and the metal plate on the outside of the pad itself would dettach from the pad sometimes and make a clicking type noise. The only other thing i can think of is if you recently changed anything like wheels or calipers where something may slightly hit due to a change in equipment.

Sure you don't have a rock in your tire?

I checked the wheel bearing and that is solid as a rock. I know its not a rock in the tire. Hopefully it does have something to do with the brakes. I'll see if it continues to make the noise once the pads are changed and the rotors get turned.

I do agree hard to tell what it is without hearing it...get the front wheel up and move the wheel side to side and up and down..Check for worn suspention parts such as ball joints, tie rods, sway bar links, etc

i have had the same noise but mine comes from the left rear caliper and i found out that it was the slide pin on the caliper so i just greased the crap out of it because it was all dryed out and problem solved no more clicking. Idk if its the same problem with yours but give it a shot.
