well...looks like they are good now...had to be one or both of the caliper sticking. haven't taken it out on the road yet, had to change a exhaust gasket, so just have to put the y-pipe back on and drop it down, that will be tomorrow, then on to the rest of the laundry list for it....hoping in the next 2 weeks its done and ready to be tuned now

just snuck out for a drive. def better. still not the best. maybe its now a cause of the vacuum or that the pads and rotors need to re-seat themselves again. at least i can move on to the rest of the list and then get some more miles on it.

Glad to see that you got the problem semi worked out. Maybe it needs to really be bled more now that you took the calipers off and put them back on again?

well now i'm completely lost. i thought it was good...but no. got it up to speed today, and take about the length of a parking lot to stop. not good at all. the pedal effort has gone down since the beginning, but still tough.
the only parts left from last time are the flex lines, front calipers, pads and disks and the brake booster.
pretty sad, its kicking my butt right now.

well the rotors look fine to me, would have to pull the wheels off to look at the pads. maybe tomorrow night.Originally posted by 1BADAIR View Postwhat do the pads and rotors look like?
over heated and glazed pads will cause a hard pedal.

what a mess....swapped in a new booster today, problem is gone. just need a good road test to see if it can keep up with the reduced vacuum...if not...then going to manual brakes. either way, i feel some relief now, and can get on to crossing items off the list, this one felt good to cross out!
