  • Another car bites the dust!

    well i didnt post to much bout my car but i had a head swap done, ls7 lifter, pcv system and a bunch more work done to it... today went to pick it up ran great idled fine unlike last year and then left and got about 6 miles away and things went bad.... dont know if its the motor or what it is.... will be pulling apart tomorrow to see

    like what seems to be the problem?

      well was driving fine and thenrpms went to 3000 ish rpms and car slowed down and no power and clunking noises from motor like stuff was ratteling around ( basicly like a rock in a coffee can and shaking it up)

                Man this just sucks! Was at a friends last night and his son crashed into his Z28 pulling in the driveway, needs alot of work I was told.. WTF? My car is going in the garage when it's done and not coming out this year.. Good luck Derek, hope it's nothing serious, but sure doesn't sound good..

                    thats sad to hear Derek especially now with the new baby I bet your short on free time to wrench on the car as it is. Let us know what comes of it.

                      yeah dont have much free time but lluckly got this weekend off and my mom said she will watch the baby... myy brother and my dad are going to help me tear it apart today...

                              poped off the passanger side valve covers... rockers were off the springs... pushrods up against the valve cover.... they stripped the studds in the heads.... fixing this and seeing if it was the problem or not
