I also found on LS1howto.com how to port the TB. Not too hard, this is what they said about it.
First do some preliminary porting, making sure you DONT port right at the opening where the blade contacts when shut. Grind down the ridge thats about 1/2" in front of the blade and try to smooth it all out. Then, use JB weld to fill in the big port making sure the epoxy gets DEEP into the hole and wraps around inside the hole so once it sets, it can never fall out. Let it dry, then smooth the epoxy out and drill the hole in the epoxy for the PCV hose. On an F-body, you'll need to drill two holes. The Ybody only needs one.
They also had pics, you can see them at the website.98 Trans Am WS.6

id think you would be able to do that by eye just as long as you dont over do it, just a few degrees below 90 t be safe without the tool, but maybe the autozone engine scan tool and check to see how far the tb is open, if you have an autozone or a auto store with the free scan tool. somethin to look into since its a free mod lolOriginally posted by LS1Phoenix View PostI'm definetly goin to check my car tomorrow to see if that's been done. Also the EGR tube mod, where you cut the piece hanging in the intake right behind the throttle body so it is not blocking the airflow. Just don't cut too much off.sigpicMODS: SLP DUAL/DUAL EXHAUST, 160 STAT, MTI LID, SHANER S3 T.B., SMOOTH BELLOWS, DESCREENED MAF, TUNNEL BRACE, UMI SFC & PHB, STRANO SWAY BARS, DRILLED/SLOTTED ROTORS, WHISTLER LIGHTS, BLACK BILLET GRILLE w/69'SS EMBLEM, BLACK SMOOTHED TAIL PANEL w/69'SS EMBLEM, BLACK SS HOOD INSERT, INTIMIDATOR SS WHEELS.

or you could just remove the AIR and EGR entirely and get block off plates. The free ram air mod is cutting out a couple of slots underneath the filter.Doing less with more
