Last time I changed the oil in Balto, I put Mobil 1 Full Synthetic in and a Delco filter (cause I've read that the Cobalt's don't like non-Delco filters)...got the oil for $4.99 a quart (I picked up 6 even though I only needed 5) on sale.

It's all marketing. If the Castrol was in fact 8 times better than Mobil 1 (a synthetic also), then how would it compare to a conventional oil? It's like saying it's 20 times better than a conventional, and look at how many cars have ran for 250,000+ miles on regular oil. Sorry to jack the thread but I just think it's b.s. Exxon Mobil is the largest distributor of oil so naturally companies are going to try and attack them.

Anyone notice that even though oil prices for a barrel fluctuate, oil per quart never really change???
