Need help with comp. Chip and tires

Hey everyone,
I have a 97 Z28(LT1). I have done the basic bolt ons, and need help trying to figure out where to go to get a dyno tune that's relatively local(Grand Rapids). I am thinking of a bigger cam in the future. Should I just get a Hypertech programmer until I go bigger, and are they worth the money? Also, looking to pick up some tires that will help me hook. Any advice on brands? I would like a set that can be used on the street and the track. Anyone with info is greatly appreciated! Anyone looking to sell a programmer or set of tires, I am in the market.

not to hijack this thread or anything but where can I get one of those wires and does anyone now how to flash or w/e a ecm for a thirdgen?

I would PM Steve @ SB tuning on the tune and as far as tires go Nitto drag radials are probably your best bet they last 15K and hook well at the track with a heavy burnout.

Hey Justin, surviving the winter?
I would check with Steve, SBTuning.
He is a sponsor on the site so if you go to the sopnsor area you will find him in there.
Hanhelds are o.k. but if you want max performance then check with Steve.

Tires are like car parts, there are many to pick from.
Nitto has a really good street tire.

Darren, Like my car yours has a chip in the computer (unless you have converted it?) and can't be programed from the port in the car.

If you wnat to get into doing it your self go here: http://www.moates.net
They can hook you up with all the equipment and software you will need.
Plan on spending about 500 to get everything you need.
CATS software is one of the best, just an FYI.

Thanks for the help everyone. I am also looking to pick up a set of track wheels. I have 18's now, not thinking those will do to well. Any one selling some wheels let me know.
