Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
not like its hard to replace just the bulbs.. housing should already permit it.. I'm surprised you wanted to upgrade the lights on that thing, I know with our parents envoy that thing just lights up the road like crazy, and thats not even with brights on or special bulbs, I've never seen a car that lights the road that well.

At least on this board there's no "since you put HIDs in, you're the devil" types on here. Had someone from Florida on the other board preaching the "HIDs are too bright" after I got them in the firebird. I think they look great and they are WAY better (since they run cooler) than halogens in the winter with less salt dust getting caked on them.

Yikes!!!!! My WS6 has never tasted salt; tasted rain twice....
Looks good Brian, that was one of the best modifications I did to my Camaro. Once you see how great they are you'll never want to drive a car without them again.

In all honesty, the only reason why I bought these for the Trailblazer is because I promised Derek that I would buy a set of HIDs from his group purchase. I was going to buy two but I didn't have the cash to get one for the Camaro and one for the Trailblazer. So, having to decide between either the Camaro the Trailblazer, I just couldn't justify spending the money to get HIDs for the Camaro when it's hardly driven in the dark. Getting them on the Trailblazer I'll atleast get to enjoy them immediately.
That said, though, you're absolutely right on the brightness of the stock bulbs. I really didn't need the HIDs at all, the stock headlights are sweet and really light up the road... lights the road up the best that I've ever experienced in any car I or my parents have owned.
Well now I'll know that every time I drive by a TrailBlazer with blinding lights I'll know it's you Brian How long did the install take??
I would estimate about 2 hours taking a very relaxed slow pace. Took my grill and headlights out before Angie got home, then we ate dinner and watched Wall-E on TV, then a little later I went back to work on putting the HID bulbs into the headlight housing and getting it all wired up. Then this morning I installed the ballasts and the relay I needed, installed the headlights while I plugged it all back together, and then reinstalled the grill.
That said - for us FBody guys, I think this should be an extremely easy install... just need to find a spot for the ballasts. The stock 9006 bulb plug plugs into the ballast and then the ballast has a cord that plugs into the HID bulbs. So when the car gives the power to the stock plug harness, that powers on the ballasts which turns on the HIDs. The trailblazer was a little more fun because I had to have a relay wired in with it.

The only downside to not having a projector head lamp is the amount of people you piss off at night. My fog lights are pointed at the ground for that reason. Make sure you leave them on in the day too. They look just as sharp in the day, as they do at night.
Yeah, tonight I'm going to adjust them the best that I can so they're not blinding. But man at dusk driving around with these on they look freaking sweet!
