OK Mike is CRAZY. let me just throw that out there.

TPI IS THE BEST LOW END TORQUE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM. HANDS DOWN.

The TPI i a great system. the only problem with tpi is like stated above it runs out of power up high. SO What!!! So you get a cam to put in there to make up for the lost power up high. TPI is widely known for putting in big trucks or rock climbers because of its low end torque. It would cost you some money but for efficiency it is the way to go. WHATEVER YOU DO Dont put a carb into a 4th gen.

1995 TA Sold. i sure do miss it though.

This block is NOT going to be thrown away and forgotten, I found out today it's a 4 bolt main with a forged steel crank. . . I'm doing something big with it. . . That's all I'm going to say for now. Keep in mind I have a 4x4 Sonoma with high miles also. I also know a guy who's going to sell me a Dana 60 rear and Dana 40 front axle for it. . . I'm thinking I can make a wicked winter driver/rock crawler out of the truck. Any other ideas are welcome, but I pretty much already have a good idea af my goals for a motor, and I already have a good base to go off of. I'll let you know more as I make the decisions.

The parts to do a full rebuild on a 350 SBC are wicked cheap, the 350 is one of the cheapest engines to modify/rebuild, so I'm not really worried about the cost aspect of it. I have a set of heads for it, but they need a rebuild, so I thought I could just get a new set cheaper. Or I could P&P the heads I have when I have them rebuilt, that wouldn't be too bad.
Thats why I'll have over $4000 into mine when I'm done.

Nick, if you have to bore it more than .010-.020" it may not be worth it as those cylinder walls will get thin and may not hold up to a high compression application. Personally, if I'm going to build a motor that needs the extra strength of 4 bolt mains I sure as hell won't be using a factory style 4-bolt. I would recommend getting an unbored 2 bolt block and having splayed 4 bolt main caps machined into it as they are way stronger than a factory 4-bolt. Also, get that crank checked out well, make sure it's good.

You need to get this inside and tear it apart and find out what you have to work with so you can get a plan. Just my $0.02 ultimately, you need to do what you want.

                Hell yeah lol.....

i got a carbed Gen I Sbc running a tubular BMR Kmember for SBC/BBC with motor mounts. with a th350 Trans,

                Now his block.
personally if i didnt wanna go over 12.5 on the C/R id buy it from him see if ican go .043ish over on it. currently i run .042
id even go .06 on it but i would never spray it. it would be to dangerous. i have splayed 4 bolt mains right now.

my uncle has a 2 bolt main 350 stock bore sitting in his pull barn, im tinking about buying it off him and building a 396 or 385 that will make power up to 6200 and throwing it to a 13.5 c/r with some domed pistons 64 cc headsgetting milled tad. keeping the same sizeish cam but prolly lowering the duration to 238 244 with around a 532 548 lift. on a 108 lsa running a dual plane intake manifold, a 650 carb is pleanty for that application, and then i have a spare motor making 600 crank easily
