I dont know if you've ever considered going to the 4.3 but - you can get an old ASA motor from before they had the LS1s. They have a 4.3 with bowtie heads and a special ASA intake on them. My dads buddy has one in his 36 (which was at autorama). Take a stab at how much that little guy puts out....

Will adding a stroker kit change the type of supercharger my car uses? Will I still be able to use one made for a 3.8?

Yeah. As long as you don't go to extreme. A 3.8 'charger will bolt right on your 4.2, even if you do get new heads. If you are making it pump to many ponies you might want to get it tightened up or replaced with something bigger/stronger.

a 3.8l sc will not bolt right up to a 4.3l, but will bolt up to the 4.2l stroked engine as it uses the 3.8l block yet.
