ok here it goes as u all know i just bought a 1985 trans am,well i have a 89 formula parts car equipped with a 305 tbi my car has a 4 bbl 305 but it has a knock how hard would it be to turn the tbi to a carbed engine and mount it in my trans am , as much info as possible would help plus a aftermarket carb and intake would be ordered and mounted on the tbi engine.
well im thinkin since its a tbi setup i just pull the tbi system and the intake and swap it for some holley or edelbrock because its injected through the top of the engine instead of having injectors
Not hard, If you're going to buy an intake and carb just yank the motor and take off the tbi and intake and put the new intake on and drop it in, simple as that. Should be pretty much the same motor otherwise. With no tbi you don't the the computer. Very simple and easy swap.
right thats exactally what i was thinkin thank you cuz my ta came with a 4bbl from factory and i plan on keepin it carbed and this is just a temp. engine till i find out what i wanna go with i was thinkin a 455 pontiac but i still want it to carve corners,and im lookin for about 500 hp
Should not be a problem. It is a "remove" and "insert" procedure as OT said.

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.
just got off the phone with my buddy shawn and we are pullin the engine and trans in a few weeks ill keep you posted and ill get some pics as well:christmastree:
