1995 Camaro V6 3.4 Full engine swap. It will start, idle rough and then die. Everything has been replaced on this thing and we are at a total loss as to whats wrong. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!! HELP!

    So it's still a 3.4L v6 or you swapped in an LT1?

Its still a 3.4 v6. Its barely running at idle. But you can rev the motor and it smooths out at increased RPMs. Since the swap we've put in new cam and crank senors, new plugs, wires, had the ignition module tested and it tested fine and a new map senor.

Have you checked for a vacuum leak?

The muffler has some small holes on it but there no leaks on the motor itself. I didn't think the muffler would cause the rough idle. It's extremely rough. Planning on replacing the muffler and exhaust in the future once we get it running.

Leaks on the exhaust side past the o2 sensors wouldn't cause it to run rough.

My first guess would be unmetered air. Cracked air intake behind the MAF (don't remember if the 95 3.4 had one) or a vacuum port is unplugged - brake booster, PCV valve, etc.

No leaks on the motor, no mass air flow senor. Does have an air temp senor, didnt replace it. Didnt think it would cause these problems but not sure now. We're at a loss.

IAT and Coolant sensors would play havoc with Saturns.

Take some carb spray and spray it around the top end. If the RPMs pick up you have a vacuum leak.

Stock cam or did you pop in a bigger chopstick?

Yup, a bad coolant temp sensor will cause more problems than a bad intake air temp sensor.

You can try unplugging one at a time and see if there is a change. I bought a 93 van with a bad coolant temp sensor, it would start cold but then run rough as hell when it warmed up. Didn't even restart when warm because it dumped so much fuel. Typical GM sensor will read high ohms when cold so if it goes out (not shorted) it will increase fuel, adjust timing/egr/evap/etc. at all engine temperatures
