Dont waste you time. You can get a running 5.3 intake to pan with around the same miles and newer for around $400 bucks from schrams (and their high) look on car-part.com if you want a 5.3.

...waiting for Spencer (sman) to chime in

        He swapped from a 3.8 to a 5.3 and then to a 6.0

Buy a complete 5.3 with intake truck coils and everything for 400 like previously mentioned.

Then you have some more parts to use/ sell.

Yup, your going to need a TON to get that in your car. Its been a while, but see what I can remember here....

For THAT 5.3 not a complete one:
            LS1 F-car oil pan
            Ls1 f-car accessories
            Ls1 or ls6 intake
            Matching steam tubes
            Heads
            Valve covers
Valve train (no idea whats there based on those pictures)
            Coil packs(with brackets and harnesses)
Valley cover w/knock sensors and harness
Theres probably more, but thats just based on those couple of pictures.

            For ANY complete LS motor....
You want a complete LS long block
Any car intake (to match the heads ports)
Fbody or vette injectors and fuel rails
            Complete f-car accessories
            F-car oil pan
F-car motor mounts (the clam shell part that bolts to the motor, $90 ea from the dealer last time I looked)
            LS1 f-car motor mount pedestals
LS1 f-car k-member (if you get it with a steering rack you MUST also get the correct piece that goes from the column to the rack from a ls1 f-car, your car cannot be properly aligned without it and you risk wrecking the clockspring in the the steering wheel. If you re-use your v6 rack you dont have to worry about any of that, but both of the ls1 f-car racks are higher ratio than your v6 one)
            LS1 f-car springs and shocks
LS1 f-car radiator and ALL hoses (including your heater core hoses, those half metal half rubber ones. They were $180 at the dealer when I got mine)
LS motor MAF and proper ducting
            LS1 f-car lid
LS1 f-car engine harness (TA or camaro doesnt matter, but year does 99+ are the same, 98s are different. Also need to match up your traction control option. If your car has ASR get an ASR optioned harness if you wish to keep it. If your car has SGS like more 3800 f-cars then get a non ASR harness)\
LS1 f-car engine BAY harness (this is very important, must be from appropriate car. Again 98 is different, 99+ the same. Must match the engine harness as far as options (traction control, cruise control, etc) TA and Camaros are totally different.
Transmission of your choice, you cannot reuse your v6 4l60e, period.
Appropriate trans crossmember and drive shaft. DO NOT reuse your v6 one.
You CAN reuse your v6 cluster, or swap it for a v8 one. (Your car WILL need to be reprogrammed though, a dealer or anyone with a TechII can do it for you. Also, your mileage is stored in the cluster, so you will need to take both clusters somewhere and have it matched up to your new one, or have a mileage amendment sticker by the SOS put on the car.)

Add $500 for misc parts, nuts, bolts, fluids. etc

Oh, also need to get creative with your fuel system. You can reuse your stock pump, they are exactly the same. Its the bucket and lines that are different. Easiest way to do it is to get the corvette FPR.

I THINK thats it, ill add to it if I come up with anything else.

I also did a similar swap, lt1 to ls1, But I bought a whole ls1 with rad, fans, wire harness, and all. Then a 4l60e trans for ls, and still needed extra stuff like motor mounts, headers, exhaust, trans lines, ETC I used the fuel lines, and pump out of a 1994 3.4 v6 car with a corvette regulator. And this still cost me around $3,500. And I only paid $1400 for the whole ls1 45k miles with all accessories.
