Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
What are some good head to put on a 1987 Camaro Iroc 350tpi motor?
I wouldnt mind spending good money for good heads.. Give me some options, my dad and i are talking about dropping the 350tpi in my car or building a 383
1989 Camaro RS - SOLD
1991 Camaro Z28 - SOLD
1987 Camaro IROC-Z - current
When the rear end's loose, the car's fast. Loose is fast, and on the edge you're out of control.
Personally, I would be looking to find a good head porter, then discuss your goals with them and take their recommendation on what heads to run and what cam to run with them.
On the 383 thing, if you already have an assembled 350 ready to run (kinda what your post sounds like), no sense in not using it if it's in good shape. You can still make great power/torque with it. If you're starting from scratch regardless of displacement, as mentioned I'd go with a 383 since the cost to build will be pretty similar if you're going with a whole new rotating assembly.
