  • v6 to ls1 swap fuel question

I just put a 98 ls1 in my firebird with my dad and we pretty much have everything done except for the fuel system. To my understanding, I've heard of the vette regulator method being the easiest? Anyone that knows more about this method care to elaborate? I've tried finding instructions but to no avail.

Also, I'm a noob to this stuff so this might sound like a stupid question, but being that the LS1 is returnless, could we not just delete the return line on the v6 car and somehow block it off and call it a day? Thanks for any input

You may be able to source out an ls1 fuel pump assembly. I believe it has the regulator built in and should just drop right into your tank?

Sounds like a good idea. Anyone know if there's any instructions for that? Or for any other method really. I wanna know as much as I can about this so I can just get it done haha.

I know this is over a month old, but if you don't want to mess with any lines, you need to grab a fuel rail from a 97-98 LS1 out of a Corvette. That rail has a return and regulator built into it. To keep up with the flow you need for the LS1, buy a Racetronix fuel pump to drop in and then you're done.
