Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!
Looks real good fred, I want to put some work into my car like this, but driving it every day, its just hard to justify, parts like this just dont seem to stay looking that nice after a 20k miles season.
Keep up the hard work!
First off, Thanks!
What parts in particular? The rear end? I think it's quite the opposite. Yes, I have put a lot of work into it, but should only have to do it once I'm just trying to use decent quality parts or methods so I don't have to do things twice. Yes the car will probably only see 3-5k miles a year - but they will be HARD miles
I got bored waiting for my suspension parts, so I took the MAF apart and painted the outside red. Pictures also show the new/used SLP lid I traded my clear lid for. There used to be a red decal over the "SLP", but it was peeling off. I kinda like it white though... it came with the red bird on it too.
Id like to do all the front and rear suspension, but Ive got the front apart now, and the number of parts ive broken to get it apart is rather discouraging, and the lack of free time I have makes things real difficult.
MAF looks good, id like to do something with mine, but ive got the 85mm maf, cant even remember if theres anything other than the black plastic on that one, lol. Shows you how long its been since ive been under the hood of my car.
Give me a shout if you need assistance with pulling your's - it's kinda a two person project towards the end
Oh, I have "a list" of contributing hands mister and you're one of them....hope you don't mind a clean garage, lots of beer and enough Larry 1 bashing to keep you entertained for the remainder of 2011!!!

Getting that MAF off sucked...at least before the hot water trick.
Fred and I tried pulling the lid and the MAF apart, but it didn't want to move out at all. And I mean, one of us would hold the lid, and the other would hold the maf, and pull as hard as we could, haha.
Fred tried hot water later that night and it came right apart! So just an FYI if anyone ever has that issue.
Turned out good Fred!
