Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

i know you can make them rev... takes alot more work.. cant go cheep on the parts... and anything anything with more than that 3.75 stroke doesnt rev... ive been looking into the big small blocks with the 3.895 and the 4.0 stroke the 421 427 434's and pretty much at 6,500rpm motor even aftermarket block and parts, your pushing the limit of the bigger strokes... but i have seen the 3.75 crank get up in the rpms fine with the the right parts and machine work... i really dont understand the point of it its not really a hp style motor its a tq motor keeping steady tq throughout the rpm range and still decent amounts of hp... unless you were going to shove a turbo on it or something that would bennefit from the added rpm there is no reason to make it rev that high... just get a setup that kicks in durring lower rpm range. but ive seen a 406 small block hit 9,000 just fine but it had some work to it... and makes about the same power as the stroker hes talking about...

I'm not saying it isn't impossible to buzz a 383 up to some crazy rpm like you stated, however, it doesn't make much sense. Unless you are restricted by sanctioning rules on displacement, there are much cheaper ways to get power out of an engine at those RPM's with a better selected displacement motor. You can't soley look at a displacement figure, you need to be looking at rod length to stroke ratio's and piston velocity.
