[quote=meissen;420979]Go talk to Mike Ridings (Ridings Automatics, sponsor on here) and he'll rebuild your transmission for you.
I agree. Before you make a decsion contact Mike Riddings. Mike builds race trans's for a living. He will know exactly what you need, and will do it for a more than fair price. I had him do my converter for me last year, and just had him go completely through my Turbo 400, including a new TransBrake!!!

Totally agree. It's only worth while if you've done tons of other modifications (like I have) to the car. For me, even at $7500 it's still wouldn't have been worth it to buy a v8 car, swap the parts over from the v6, and then sell the v6.Originally posted by steddy View PostI'll have to agree. It's what turned me off from doing a V8 swap. For the price (actually a bit cheaper, I believe) I could've sold the V6 and just bought an LSx F-body and been done with it.- Brian Meissen

There are certian circumstances when this swap would be benificial, but not im most IMHO. I would read over mine and brians build threads. If you feel like you really want to do it knock yourself out, but just be prepaird to spend more, not saying you will, just be like the Coast Guard, just in case.
Also Mike Ridings is an AWESOME trans guy, really put a nice combo together for me, I couldnt be happier! He also did Brians trans and converter and several others local here. Check with him, I feel you might be happier to go this route, mild stall? Could make for a fun 6!1999 Camaro - 6 liters of fury.....
