  • F-body engine removal dolly, anyone have one?

I am at the very last step of removing my driveline. All i have to do is unbolt the k-member and lift the body. Does anyone have a dolly they used for this that i could borrow? Let me know as it would be a HUGE help! Thanks!

Any pictures please? I am at this step Roughly how big of a platform do you need the dolly to be? I was thinking 3 feet long, 2 feet wide?

we use a 2x10 thats fits between the control arms in the front(if it hits the control arms it makes installation a pain) if the car isn't lowered alot then use another dolly with a 4x4 under the trans(or jack)

interesting. If i just make a 3x2 foot dolly, will the oil pan rest on it or what? Looks like thats my lowest point and kind of scares me. Installation i am not concerned about, it is not going back together

i set it on the k-member.
another tip- set the car down on the dolly using a jack under each side. I don't recommend using a cherry picker to lift the car and engine/trans.

i ended up finding a dolly and yanked the wheels out. It came out great!

a short TA, none a/c (dam starter harness goes around the a/c) manual trans car can be on the ground in about 1.5 hours(or less).
If I had a hoist. They would be like rotating tires
