Opps, sorry guys
The LS1 is out of a Vett and is curently under going a check.
Owner said it had a small "nock" so I'm checking all the bores to make sure that everything is good and square.
I don't want to sell junk, I'm about quality!!
The bottom end will be studded with ARP and the heads will have ARP bolts when I'm done.
Machine work that I will have done is having the mains line bored and cylinders if needed.
I can't belive how big the lobes are on this cam, no wonder they make so much power 8-O makes my LT-1 cam look like a baby rattle
I can tell you one thing though, I have never seen such clean main and rod bearings before.
No marks, pits, nada, no where!
The motor that is in my car is 3yrs old (LT-1 383) and has been to the track and run hard with no problems and I did all the work my self.

I'm thinking around 2500 range.
It's all going to depend on if I need to true up the cylinders in all.
That will call for new pistons and I will probibly go Forged and have it all balanced.

I have done some 3.4 to ls1 swaps on 4th gens. Its not as easy as it appears.
You will need engine, trans and wiring harness along with a ls1 K frame. You can get by without the K-frame but requires some fabrication work to make it sit right and you have to modify the steering shft.
Blending the lt1 and ls1 engine harness is not that easy but its also not inpossiable. Just alot of reading diagrams.
If you lack the skills to do electrical, fabrication etc then you will definately not want to make this a DIY project.

My car has 120,000 and it's still running hella strong but i was wondering what is EVERYTHING i would need to do an Lt1 swap with a Ls1. I would just want a stock Ls1 with maybe some bolt ons like headers or something. just looking for a wrecked car with the engine intact.
SO what is everything i would need to do the swap, cuz i love my body style alot and would like to keep it. Let me know guys. You will be helping me out ALOT

Is there a tutorial or somthing that details the complete swap from LT1 to LS1?

Like Sean was saying, you really don't want to get into that unless you know what you're doing. I'm getting a headache just thinking about it (It's a LOT of work)Originally posted by CollinsAutomotiveBlending the lt1 and ls1 engine harness is not that easy but its also not inpossiable. I'll buy your engine and trans. . . I'm looking for one right now, I'm going to get a loan to buy everything I need to finish my car. I was planning to take it in to a shop and have the work done, but wanting to do that motivated me to get started on it. Both bumpers are coming off tomorrow, so it shouldn't be too long before the car is looking straight. THEN, I'll be ready to buy a LT1. . . I'm hoping to pick up a donor car to swap the whole K-Member out of, but I don't think I can afford that.Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLESell your engine to one of the guys on this board then take that cash and put it toward my LS1 so I can buy a 408ci stroker built for boost, its a triple win situation. Plus my engine is stock.....for now.Nick H.
