  • Modern Engine Identification

This is inspired by the points i was making in the nitrous thread as well as the thread about the 30th anniversary SS.

I know production number tagging ended a while ago, so how are modern engines ID'd to be correct or is it even possible?

I can see this becoming a concern in the future when survivor 3rd and 4th gens begin to become sought after.

Id like this to be an informative topic, not a debate about whether or not 'numbers matching' is important.
