Driving down Main street in Adrian today, shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear at 25 mph, I couldn't push the clutch more than halfway down, I tried to push it again, I heard a banging noise, and I lost the clutch completely. The slave cylinder broke off of the bellhousing completely, and my car is stranded in the parking lot I coasted into. I have access to a 91 Sonoma 4.3 5 speed that I could swap into the Camaro, I would just have to give up my 94 Sonoma. The 91 is 2WD, and it's got low miles. I think I could make the swap work to my advantage. OR, I could go to a GM dealership and pay $300 for the bellhousing. Just the bellhousing. That's assuming that nothing else is wrong with the trans or anything. What do you all think? I could also upgrade to the stock Auto trans out of a 94 Firebird 3.4 V6, includes the trans, all trans lines, radiator, flywheel, ECM, and all the wiring I would need to swap the trans in, for the low low price of $600. I'm pissed right now, I need some input, and I want to get my car home before it is towed from the apartment parking lot I left it in. . . Anybody got some advice for me?

I would if there was a 3.4 V6/T5 manual trans Camaro/Firebird in a junkyard. There aren't any near here with those cars, my car is relatively rare among V6's.Nick H.

I asked the place with that one to reserve it for me so I could come down and pick it up tomorrow, he sold it yesterday. Back to square one. I'm on the phone with junkyards all afternoon Tuesday, then when I was supposed to take the trans out yesterday, Ben and another friend came over to help me take out the trans. My dad came outside and asked us to help him clean out his garage, and we didn't end up getting my trans out until almost 10pm. Now, it's raining, I can't finish taking the bellhousing and clutch out, and he's *****ing at me for not helping him finish the garage. I need my car to get to and from work, the truck won't start now, and my mom's plates are expired, so she's driving Dad's car until Friday when she goes to put new plates on her car. I'm so pissed right now it's unreal. I can't fix my car, I have to walk to work in the rain, and my dad is pissed at me. I hate my life.Nick H.

Called about them. . . Most of them were either gone, or the places wouldn't ship them to me, they wanted me to drive to them and pick it up. I just had the broken part heli-arc'ed back on, now the clutch pedal has no resistance and the clutch won't disengage. On top of that, I became a Oldsmobile sandwich this morning, sandwiched between a 80-something Ranger and a 2000+ Pontiac minivan. The Aurora suffered some pretty bad damage, but it'll be alright. I'm hoping to get the Camaro either fixed or up for sale tomorrow.Nick H.

Apparently not. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up this Formula though, it's a nice car. Many of the parts I bought for the Camaro will bolt right up, like the aluminum driveshaft and leather seats. I really want this car. . . lolNick H.

Not driveable yet. . . Gotta drop the tranny back out, the clutch disc was installed backwards because I was being rushed through the install. . . My own fault. It'll be on the road later today if I'm right about what's wrong. lolOriginally posted by meissen View PostForget to do somethin with it?
