Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Ok, I've been trying to understand how Stalls work and stuff, and it seems to be going right over my head.
So basically, it gets the RPM's up faster right? But are these only good when you brake stall it at the track? Or does improve street performance as well?
With a stall your converter will slip under partial throttle. When you floor the car the converter will slip to the stall speed that your converter is rated at and than grab. Its kinda like droping the clutch of your M6 car at lets say 3500 if you have a 3500 stall. No more flooring the car from a dead stop and having it fall on its face because it dosnt make and real power until over 3K. I dont know if that makes any sense but that the best I could do
It also has something called shift extension. This will help keep your car in the higher RPMS after a shift to help keep it in the power band. There is also the STR rating which is how much the converter multilply's torque on the initial hit.
its ok for everyday driving as well but recommend not going overboard on size of stall like 4000 plus although some do and trans cooler is recommended or bigger one if already equipped with one because its going to generate more heat than the stock torque convertor. Heat is any enemy of transmissions. Well at least to much heat

DD a car with a 3000-3500 stall is fine. I wouldn't get a 2800 stall unless that is where you are making power with your setup. I plan to get 3500 in mine when the time comes

2005 Malibu - Stock, anyone have a ecotec factory gm supercharger for me? lol
It has so much to do with your power band.
Throw a 4K stall in a stock 3rd gen 305 TPI and just watch how you waste your time and money.
Anyone happen to know what the stock stall speed of 4th gen converters are. I am only guessing they are slightly higher than the 3rd gens, perhaps hoping not guessing.
