  • 9" Owner Please

I have finaly got my 9" done and we are ready to put it in
    I have a few questions:

I was wondering what you had to do with your drive shaft?
Did you have to get a new one or did you have your stock one shortend?

And what did you have to do with the tunnel, did the 9" fit or did you have to "modify" it?

    The 9" came out of a 2000 Z28.

driveshaft should be the same length you'll just need the 1350 yolk for your stock one. i just went ahead and replaced my good for nothing aluminum shaft with a steel one.

the 9" should fit in the tunnel, your torque arm or torque arm mount might hit the tunnel some, you can eaither pound it out some with a big hammer or just let it "clearance" itself out.

this is what you'll have to replace on your driveshaft, the stock one, for one of these...

most of the better torque arms have two sets of holes. You need to use the inner set and may have to trim the outer set off to be able to use the inner set

If you have a 1350 yoke you need Napa pn# 240-0447 (used to be 447) to be able to use your stock driveshaft
