  • 9" + T56 + third gen...stock ls1 DS gunna work?

    I'm going with a 9" rear and a t56 in the '88 and i have a stock ls1 driveshaft in the car now...am I going to have to go wtih a custom-length DS?

    Yes, you will need a custom shaft. Not only because of length, but a stock LS1 shaft won't last real long.

      if your 9 inch is made for your car then no. All driveshafts 82-02 for f-bodies are all same length. And that driveshaft will take some abuse recommend a driveshaft safety loop just incase though

        Should be the right length but you will have an issue with the U-joint unless you convert it.

          I would say... theres only one way to find out.. Throw that ***** up there and check....

            I have the same setup going in my car....
            Good work by the way...

            My U joint needed a conversion..just an FYI
            Its not to expensive or really hard to do...just a hidden cost
