Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

ok so this sucks my good day turned into crap. long story short my car is dead it has a brand new battery im sure its the alt. but my headlights were up went it jsut died on me i got it to turn on for a sec after that and they almost went all the way down so i let it sit for 30 mins checked it and the lights came all the way back up even thought my switch is turned off. now im sorrta worried about that cuz i dont wanna replace the motors
can anyone give me some imput please and thank you
Yeah it's most likely the alternator, when you had it started did it sound diffrent and did you check the gages to see if the battery was showing lowness? or maybe when you had it started did it sound like a marbul ball was bounceing around i know thats what it sounded like when my alternator shot out. You can always buy a new one and if that's not it return it. but good lucks to you
If you have any kind of multi-meter you can charge the battery and start it and see if it is putting out voltage.
A volt gage is the easiest check. A charged battery should read 12.5-13(?) volts. A good charging system, when running will increase the voltage by about 1 volt. You should be able to see the same effect on the dash volt gage.
