  • shifter problems after engine swap

ok guys, im having an odd problem, i pulled my ls1 and 4l60e out of my camaro for a 5.3l swap, well now everything is back in and i put some new wheels on it today and when i lowered the car to tighten them i noticed i could roll the car more then normal, so i look up inside the car and notice its in park, and yet i can push it like its not, so i got in turned the key over and trying to pull it out of park felt like trying to turn the steering wheel of a car with no power steering,

not sure if i need to adjust the shifter cable or need another one? cause i did forget to disconnect the transmission shift linkage when i went to drop the trans and it did get some weight of the trans on it, but once i noticed it i lifted the trans as quick as i could, could i have damaged the cable??

and if so does anyone have a 1995-2002 4l60e shift cable??

Broken shift cable is likely. I've broke one, Peter broke one during his engine swap, pretty common problem

I have access to EFILive, and I'd only be able to do a basic tune...but it should be able to get you close.
