  • Does this sound right.

I finally finished my ls swap and did some cruising today. I have a 5.3 with an ls9 cam, 3,000 stall, and 3.42 gears. I am running around 2,600 rpms @ 60 mph. I feel like this is on the high side. Does it sound right? Do I need to drop my gear ratio?

Hm, definitely sounds like it isn't in 4th. Any trans codes?

You guys were right on. My buddy came over and checked the tune. He found a 4th gear solenoid code. Looks like I have to drop the pan.
